My Mission & Story
My mission is to help people cultivate the mindset necessary to make dramatic shifts in their health.
To understand why, I’ll share a few pieces of my recent story:
Shortly after I moved to CA trying to get my life started, I found out that I had a major stomach infection which ended up totally rocking my world. I went months with less than 2 hours of sleep each night, and found myself writhing in pain on the floor several times a week. My brain stopped working… I would lose my car every time I parked it, I couldn’t read for more than 2 lines without losing my place, and my social anxiety became so bad that I’d get panic attacks just standing in line at whole foods.
Focusing for work was a nightmare but online marketing has its perks (I could have never held a real job). I spent every cent I made visiting doctors and all my free time researching what could be wrong. I got tested for everything under the sun and even had doctors tell me that I might have parasites in my brain. I spent most of my days in hyperbaric chambers, going to physical & mental therapies, and having neurologists hooking my brain up to electrodes to try and make me functional.
Finally at a point where I was nearly suicidal, I decided to sell everything I owned, take out a fat loan, and go to the same raw vegan food retreat that Steve Jobs went to on his last leg. No doubt, the 3 weeks I spent detoxing at that retreat saved my life. But I lost 14 pounds of solid muscle the first week and my health issues were far from over. My testosterone levels were that of an 85 year old man, my energy was nonexistent, and I was weak with brittle joints. I moved back in with my parents after the retreat and went to work on healing myself and adding muscle to my frame. I finally got in contact with the right people and established a solid plan for climbing back to my peak health. Im so grateful to say that in the last 6 months I put on 26 pounds of lean mass to my frame and my memory and ability to focus is back. I’m sleeping wayyy more, my skin looks better than ever, and my blood work looks AWESOME. I healed my rotator cuff injuries, I can finally do push-ups on a wrist that three top surgeons said was irreparable, and my energy has increased 10 fold.
I’m still working on healing my stomach and the infections definitely left me with some long term damage that I’ll be working on reversing over the next couple years — but I’m finally thinking quickly, creatively, and accurately again and I’m stronger than ever. Lately I’ve been feeling the need to share what I’ve learned through this whole journey.
